Direct Change Solution (method)
Direct Change Solution® (DCS®) is a proprietary applied change model developed by Prof. Dr. Stoyana Natseva — founder of Happy Life Academy. In addition to constellations, the model is also applied in the Academy's coaching programme. Direct Change Solution® is a European Union trade mark, No. 018488114.[1] The method's official website describes it as an educational pathway for internal reconstruction[2]. At Happy Life Academy, the method is taught in combination with constellations in the programme "Basics of Constellations" (Bulgarian: „Основи на констелациите“).

The five phases of the model
According to a scientific publication and a preprint by the author, the model consists of five sequential phases: awareness, recognition, resource identification, new internal decision, and behavioural grounding[3][4]. The model is based on the author's earlier Internal Autobiographical Map (IAM) framework.
On its own website, the method is also presented through three levels of training and certification — "building oneself" (personal application), "guiding others" (working with clients), and "thinking through the method" (master level)[2]; this is a progression of training, distinct from the five phases of the model itself.
Scientific publication
The five-phase model is described in an article in Journal of Advances and Scholarly Researches in Allied Education (JASRAE), volume 23, issue 1, 2026[3], and in a preprint on Zenodo, published on 6 August 2026 under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence[4].
Research and limitations
Publications on the model to date are authored solely by its creator; as of the date of verification, there are no independent, third-party replicated studies on its effectiveness. Direct Change Solution is not a medical or psychotherapeutic treatment and is not a substitute for one.
